UN Secretary-General António Guterres today sent a telegram to visit the Vietnamese government and people in the context of floods and landslides causing serious damage to people and property in some central provinces, according to the statement.
Mr. Guterres appreciated the efforts of the Vietnamese government to support the affected families, and affirmed that the United Nations is ready to provide humanitarian assistance to help Vietnam get through this difficult period early.
