The US House of Representatives passed the Uyghur bill, which paved the way for punishing Chinese officials accused of human rights abuses in Xinjiang.

The US House of Representatives on December 3 won an overwhelming number of votes of 406/1 to pass the Uighur Global Humanitarian Unity Intervention and Response Act (2019). US rights to identify and punish officials deemed to be responsible for imprisoning a series of ethnic minority members in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region.
