The FBI published a photo and offered a $ 50,000 reward to find suspects taking advantage of the riot at the US congressional house to place tube bombs.
The picture, released by the FBI's Washington office on the evening of January 7, showed the suspect was a man wearing a mask, hooded sweatshirts, and gloves.
The FBI will award $ 50,000 to those who provide information leading to the identification, arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the incident.
A law enforcement source said the two bombs could both explode and cause "enormous damage" to the safety of the people if activated.
The FBI said it is also collecting clues and video footage of the riots and asking the public to help identify individuals inciting violence in Washington, DC.
