At least 50,000 people took to the streets in the capital Vienna, Austria, in support of global anti-racist protests following the death of George Floyd.

The crowd, mostly young people, after listening to the speakers, marched to the Karlsplatz park in downtown Vienna on June 4.

Some argue that this is one of the biggest protests in Vienna for many years.

"Systematic racial discrimination takes place all over the world, including Austria. We have to stop it," Katharina Kohl, a 21-year-old female student, said while holding the banner.

The majority of protesters gathered close to each other, disobeying measures to prevent the spread of nCoV, but many wore masks.

Controversy over police violent acts rarely occurs in Austria, but last year, authorities launched an investigation into how some officers allegedly abused power while arresting protesters against climate change.

Protests for justice for black people continued throughout the United States on 4/6, but mostly peaceful instead of riots, looting as before.

Derek Chauvin, 44, who directly fell on the back of Floyd's neck, killed him, was fired and charged with second-degree murder.
