Columbus, Ohio police, shooting and killing an unarmed black man has sparked a new wave of anti-racist protests in America.
The incident happened on the night of December 21 when Andre Maurice Hill, 47, was shot several times in the body by police officer Adam Coy.
Columbus Police Chief Thomas Quinlan announced on December 24 he would fire Officer Coy for "committing serious misconduct".
American media have reported that Coy officer has been repeatedly complained for the excessive use of force.
Hill is the second African-American unarmed to be killed by Columbus police this month.
The deaths of Hill and Goodson Jr have sparked outrage in the US on December 24, when many people continued to protest in the streets of the movement "Life of color important" as well as seeking justice for the victims.
"Once again police officers saw a black man hastily concluded he was a criminal and dangerous," said Ben Crump, a lawyer for several families with police violence.
Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther said he was deeply indignant about Hill's death.
Anti-racism protests broke out in the US in May since the death of colored man George Floyd.
