Lyst said Meghan had a 216% increase in searches on the Internet for the outfits she wore in royal activities. In particular, the dress shirt waist is the costume accounted for 45% of search volume. Meghan wore 5 of these dresses in different colors during the visit.
The blue-and-white dress of Club Monaco brand Meghan wore when meeting Archbishop Desmond Tutu in South Africa was out of stock less than 24 hours after search volume increased by 570%. A simple J.Crew dress that the British princess wore also increased 102% of searches for this brand.
Last year, Meghan ranked third in Lyst's rankings. She has been criticized for buying expensive costumes, after reportedly spending more than $ 150,000 on costumes for her visits to Australia, New Zealand, Tonga and Fiji last year. However, during her recent visit to Africa, Meghan only spent about $ 5,000 on clothes.
The Princess and the Prince of England now suspend royal work to spend time with the son Archie. They are scheduled to fly to the US for Thanksgiving with Meghan's mother this month.
