Many "Covid-19 parties" are being held by young people in Alabama, in which the first person infected with nCoV will be rewarded.

"We initially assumed it was just a rumor. Officials found that not only did the medical offices confirm this information, the Alabama state government received the same news," said Sonya McKinstry

Tuscaloosa Fire Department Director Randy Smith said people with nCoV infection are invited to these parties to actively spread the virus to others.

"The first person who is confirmed to be infected by the nCoV doctor will receive a reward from the ticket fund. Young people have organized a series of such parties in the city and the surrounding area, there may be many events that have not been authorized by the government," he said.

Tuscaloosa officials are seeking ways to disperse this activity.

The US today recorded more than 51,000 nCoV infections, a record since the outbreak, as a new wave of infection is spreading across the country.

On the same day, nine states reported new record high levels of nCoV, including Florida, with more than 10,000 new infections in just 24 hours.

The increasingly complicated disease situation forced many states to postpone or reverse plans to relax the blockade.

White House health adviser Anthony Fauci said the recent increase in the number of nCoV infections in the United States stems from the fact that most Americans ignore public health guidelines, such as keeping a safe distance and wearing masks.
