In another statement, the Thai royal family said two soldiers were fired for "neglect" in their duties to guard the palace and "behave inconsistent with the rank and title". All 4 people were stripped of all titles.

On October 23, the Thai royal family also fired six other officials on charges of serious disciplinary violations, damaging the royal family.

King Vajiralongkorn's sacking of a series of royal officials comes days after he deposed all royal titles, titles, and medals of the royal noble Sineenat Wongvajirapakdi, 34, on charges of plotting to overthrow the Empress. Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana.

Sineenat was a military nurse before becoming a major to command the king's bodyguard. She was stripped of her title only three months after being ordained by King Vajiralongkorn to become Thailand's first royal noble in nearly a century.

Since his coronation in May, King Vajiralongkorn has strengthened his consolidation of royal affairs and royal possessions, at the same time transferring the two military units to his manager.
