"Did I make a mistake?" Hunter said in an interview intro. "However, my mistake certainly does not stem from some ethical issues. I think there will not be much happening in my life if my surname is not Biden."

Hunter was on the board of Burisma energy company, one of Ukraine's largest gas businesses, when his father was vice president under Barack Obama. President Donald Trump and his confidants suspect Biden used his power to keep Burisma from investigating corruption charges in 2016.

A whistleblower in August filed a complaint alleging Trump's urging Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate Biden's father and son, prompting the US House of Representatives to conduct an impeachment investigation against the White House boss.

Hunter's lawyer on 13/10 said he would leave the position of the board of a private Chinese company. The son of the former vice president of the United States has also remained silent since the controversy over a telephone conversation between Trump and Zelensky broke out, while the White House boss mocked him on Twitter.

Hunter accused the government of spreading "ridiculous conspiracy theories" about his work in Ukraine. "Some extremely immoral people have clung to this and acted illegally in an attempt to harm my father," Hunter said.

"That's my mistake. So I am fully responsible for this. But I don't make any mistakes in every respect," he added.
