Iran is trying to analyze the black boxes of airplanes that were shot by its troops on January 8, denying information it would send them to Ukraine.
"We're trying to read black boxes here, in Iran. If that doesn't work, our next option is Ukraine and France, but no decision has been made about sending them to any other country," the company said. IRNA news agency quoted Hassan Rezaifar, director of the accident investigation at the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization.
Tasnim news agency quoted Rezaifar as saying that Iran could not decode the black box aircraft and would send them to Ukraine after Kiev repeatedly requested. It is not clear why he retracted the statement.
