The prosecutor in Fulton County, Georgia, opens an investigation into Donald Trump's attempt to reverse the 2020 presidential election results.
Fulton County Prosecutor Fani Willis on Feb. 10 sent a letter asking state government officials to preserve documents, including documents related to Trump's call with Georgia Secretary-General Brad Raffensperger in January, pressuring
"This issue is a high priority and I believe that when law enforcement officers have sworn to uphold the US constitution and Georgia law, we will receive cooperation in gathering information and evidence of behavior.
"This letter is telling you that all records that may be relevant to the 2020 election run must be kept, with particular attention being paid to records that could be evidence of attempted influence.
On Feb. 8, Raffensperger's office opened its own investigation into Trump's Jan. 2 phone call, pressuring Raffensperger to reverse Joe Biden's victory in the state on allegations of election fraud.
The investigation makes Georgia the second state after New York, Mr Trump faces a criminal investigation.
