Authorities found six bodies of a tourist helicopter crashed in Hawaii, but stopped searching for the last victim due to bad weather.

"Six bodies were found this afternoon at the scene of a helicopter crash in Kokee Park, northwest of Kauai Island," the fire department of Kauai Island, Hawaii, said in a statement on December 27.

There are no signs that anyone survived the accident. The search for the seventh body was stopped due to bad weather and will resume on the morning of December 28 (local time). The victims' identities have not been disclosed as authorities are waiting to notify their relatives.

"We are deeply saddened by the tragedy and continue to ask the public to consider the sensitive nature of this tragic accident," said Mayor Kauai Derek Kawakami. "We extend our condolences to the families of the victims".

Safari Helicopters' tourist helicopter carrying seven people, including a pilot and six passengers, disappeared while traveling through the Na Pali area in the evening of December 26. The US Coast Guard, US Navy, and Kauai Fire Department participated in the search for the helicopter.
