Video filmed by the couple living near the Beirut harbor showed the warehouse caught fire, firing as many flashes of fire as fireworks before exploding.

The video is said to be the most close-up of the explosion in the Lebanese capital on August 4, captured by the couple Imad Khalil and Lena Allama from the balcony of their apartment near the port of Beirut.

The Lebanese capital, Beirut, on August 4, was shaken by an explosion that contained 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate, a compound used as fertilizer in agriculture and explosives in industry, at the harbor.

The explosion occurred as Lebanon was plunged into the worst economic crisis since the 1975-1990 civil war.

The explosion also sparked people's anger at the government, causing crowds to flock to the streets to protest and clash with security forces on August 6.
