Australia Paul Sefky found in his burned house a note from a firefighter apologizing for drinking his milk.

Paul Sefky, of New South Wales, Australia, posted on Facebook on November 9 a picture of a piece of paper and a message left by the firefighter after his fire at his house in the town of Urunga.

"It is a pleasure to save your house. Sorry we could not save the warehouse. PS: We owe you some milk," the content said.

However, Sefky said this was the best message he had ever received "since the morning after my wedding". The photo of the piece of paper was shared thousands of times on Facebook and finally the firefighter who left the message was found.

"I'm glad to hear your note is still intact!", Kale Hardie-Porter commented on Facebook, saying he was part of a group of four firefighters who participated in putting out the fire near Sefky's house. "We rested at his house for a while and discovered the refrigerator."

Hardie-Porter apologized for the "shocking piece of paper," saying it was late and could not be seen. "We are very honored to be able to do a little good in such terrible conditions," he said.

Despite being caught by firefighters in a timely manner, Sefky said his home was still uninhabitable. "We have no electricity, no water, it's all very dirty and the smoke is still coming until next week," he said.

Australia is experiencing a wildfire crisis with more than 60 fires recorded across the state of New South Wales, killing at least 3 people and killing more than 150 houses. Officials warn of a more serious fire when the temperature in the area is expected to rise to 37 degrees Celsius.

Forest fires are expected to spread quickly and people in high-risk communities have been asked to stay away from forest areas and evacuate their homes. More than 600 schools across the state have been closed.
