Dozens of people on July 6 gathered around a overturned gasoline tanker in the town of Pueblo Viejo, Magdalena province, Colombia, trying to collect leaking fuel.
"We believe that at least seven people were burned to death in this tragic accident," said Fabian Ospino, mayor of Pueblo Viejo, in a video posted on social networks the same day.

Local authorities confirmed the explosion, killing 7 people and injuring 46 others.
"We are working with the air force to bring patients to other cities where burns are treated. The hospital in Magadalena doesn't have one," Caicedo added.
Colombian President Ivan Duque sent his condolences to the families of the victims, saying the situation they faced "pitiful".
Unfortunate accidents due to petrol odor often occur in areas where many people live in difficult circumstances.
