A Chinese tourist became the first person to die in Europe after being positive for the corona virus, French officials announced today.

"The 80-year-old visitor from Hubei Province arrived in France on January 16. He received isolation treatment at Bichat Hospital from January 25. Three deaths recorded outside mainland China today include a Wuhan man in the Philippines, a man in Hong Kong and an 80-year-old lady in Japan.
