Fabio Wajngarten, who accompanied Brazil's president to meet with Trump last week, was positive for nCoV, local media reported.
Fabio Wajngarten, press secretary of the Brazilian President, will take a second sample of the nCoV test for final confirmation, O Estado de S. Paulo newspaper today said but did not disclose where they got the information.
Wajngarten was part of a delegation accompanying Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro during a visit to Florida, USA, last weekend. The photos posted on social networks show him standing next to US President Donald Trump, wearing a hat with the familiar slogan "Make America Great Again" by the White House boss at Mar Resort -a-Lago.
President Bolsonaro canceled the agenda today and did not leave the residence. He is under medical supervision, according to two anonymous sources familiar with the matter.
Asked about the information, President Trump said he was "not worried". "We didn't do anything unusual. We sat side by side for a while," Trump told reporters at the White House.
Wajngarten and President Bolsonaro's office have not yet commented. Three other high-ranking Brazilian officials were also present at the meeting between President Bolsanaro and President Trump in Mar-a-Lago: Defense Minister Fernando Azevedo, Foreign Minister Ernesto Araujo and Security Secretary Augusto Heleno.
