Valor Economico, Brazil's largest financial newspaper, today reported Brazil to send agricultural attaché to Shenzhen to investigate.

Shenzhen officials said the nCoV-contaminated chicken wings were the product of Brazil's third-largest pork and chicken processor Central Cooperativa Aurora Alimentos.

China since June periodically inspects imported meat and seafood.

Li Fengqin, head of the microbiology laboratory at the China National Food Safety Risk Assessment Center, said in June that contaminated food stored in cold storage could be a potential source of infection.

Covid-19 is believed to have originated from the seafood and wildlife market in Wuhan City from December 2019.
