Michael Bloomberg showed a campaign poster on the big screen in the Las Vegas Strip on February 21, saying Trump "cheated on golf".
The advertising screen is only three kilometers away from Trump's hotel, the President stays here on February 21 while in Las Vegas to organize a rally to campaign. The screen is located on the Las Vegas Strip, a 6.1-kilometer stretch known for its casinos, resorts and hotels.
Bloomberg also showed on the screen other words such as "the wall of Donald Trump collapsed" and "Donald Trump lost the popular vote", mentioning that he lost to rival Hillary Clinton three million popular votes in the annual election. 2016 but won the overall competition by overwhelmingly winning the electoral votes.
Billionaire Bloomberg, who is competing for the chance to become a representative candidate of the Democratic Party in the primary election, is focusing on attacking Trump instead of his party rivals.
Former Sports Illustrated journalist Rick Reilly once wrote a book saying that Trump always cheats when playing golf. FOX Sports golf expert Brad Faxon said that the US President had deliberately not counted a penalty stick when he hit the ball twice in the water.
"A lot of people cheat when they play golf, this may be true," said Gerry Frenze, a Las Vegas Strip passer when asked how he felt about the advertising screen. "But I don't like the fact that Bloomberg thinks he can afford to get into the White House."
Meanwhile, his wife, Kim Corrigan, criticized Trump. "Trump makes others want to attack him," she said. "I don't like Bloomberg doing this, but Trump himself started this type of mockery. He made people 'cheap'."
Another passerby shrugged nonchalantly, saying, "He has money." Meanwhile, Mya Sepeda, who watches tarot cards, takes the issue more seriously. "Maybe he's cheating but Trump is the president and he deserves respect," Sepeda said, adding that he predicted Trump would win this year's election.
