Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos said he has donated $ 98.5 million to 32 organizations that help homeless families in 23 states.

Amazon founder Bezos Day 1 Fund Jeff Bezos announced on November 21 the amount of money donated to homeless support organizations in 2019. Each organization received between 1.25 and 5 million dollars.

Bezos launched the charity in September 2018 and pledged $ 2 billion in funding for the foundation. The foundation was founded with two goals: funding organizations that help homeless families and establishing Montessori kindergartens, inspired by self-reliant, confident Japanese children, discipline and creativity.

Last year, Bezos donated $ 97.5 million to 24 homeless organizations in 16 states. However, the foundation has not announced any funding for the establishment of Montessori schools.

Bezos has an estimated net worth of $ 109 billion, being the richest person in the world. Billionaire Bill Gates is second. In recent days, the two people constantly exchanged positions due to fluctuations in stock prices of Amazon and Microsoft.

Since the beginning of the year, Bezos' fortune has fallen by $ 13.9 billion, mainly because of his expensive divorce with ex-wife MacKenzie.
