Six members of a family were found dead at home in San Antonio, Texas, apparently a murder and suicide.
Police found two adults and four children dead in an SUV in the garage of the house, San Antonio City Sheriff William McManus said at a press conference on June 5.
The family identity has not been announced, but McManus says two adults, including a man and a woman, are in their forties, and children aged 11 months to 4 years.
The police arrived at their home on the morning of June 4 to check on the requested welfare from the man's company.
When the police opened the front door, they smelled a toxic gas and retreated.
Police worried the house had been set on explosives and had used a search engine.
"There are no words to describe," said Mr McManus.
The sheriff said the family was affiliated with the military but did not say which unit.
