America Nearly three years before the apartment near the coast of Miami collapsed, a technical company estimates that the building needs more than 9 million USD to repair.
Email from Morabito Technical Consultancy Company is among the series of documents published by the Sufside city government on June 26, while the rescue effort continues to take place at the Champlain Towers apartment building.
Estimating the cost of repairing buildings in 2018 is up to 9.1 million USD, in which garage repair fee, entrance and pool floor account for more than 3.8 million USD.
Cranes, rescue teams, continue to find missing people in the rubble in the Champlain Towers in Surfside, Florida, June 26.
Earlier, another document shows that the pool floor on the ground floor is located on concrete with a large damaged texture and needs repairs.
The report does not warn the potential risk, which is unknown that the failures discovered in the report are the cause of or not the southern building of the apartment.
The previous report said the waterproofing part of the wrong technical pool, construction into a plane instead of a slope face, causing water to not escape out.
Not good waterproofing makes the concrete plate below the structural damage.
Gregg Schlesinger, a lawyer specializing in construction technical errors, former construction project engineers, said all the issues in the report should have handled urgently.
The building itself warned us that we were having serious problems, Schlesinger said on June 26.
In the June 26 announcement, Morabito's company confirmed its report detailing the cracks on concrete to be repaired to ensure the safety of people living inside and people in the region.
The company said they were hired to re-survey in June 2020 so that the building began the process of re-granting certification after 40 years, the job requires a detailed survey of many items.
At the time of collapse, the repair of roofs are proceeding, but have not started repairing concrete, Morabito's company said.
The building is in the process of re-testing the 40-year test paper, requiring detailed structure and electrical tests.
High-rise buildings in the United States cannot fall like that.
The southern building of the Champlain Towers 12-storey apartment collapsed at 1:15 in the morning of June 24, causing at least 9 people to die, more than 30 people were injured, more than 150 people were still missing.
This is a statement for those who to Miami, Schlesinger said.
