But as things looked better for the President, nCoV cases began to rise in California and the Pacific Northwest.

When the campaign started, Biden was not necessarily the brightest candidate of the Democratic Party.

After weeks of lowering the dangers of Covid-19, as cases skyrocketed in the country, Trump gave a rare speech from the Oval Office in an attempt to calm public opinion on March 11.

After the opponents pulled out of the race one after another, Biden's last remaining opponent in the primary was Bernie Sanders.

Sanders' move helps Biden shift his focus to the general election with seven months to go until Election Day.

When nearly 50,000 people died of Covid-19, on April 23, at a daily press conference about Covid-19, Trump raised the idea of researching injecting an antiseptic such as a bleach into the body to destroy the virus.

His comment, however, was heavily criticized and was one of the factors that caused the White House to suspend the press conference a few days later, even though opinion polls in April showed endorsement by

Washington is one of the cities rocked by protests after the death of colored George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police on May 25.

Then the US Park Police Force and the National Guard used tear gas to disperse protesters at a park outside the White House for Trump to walk to St. Church.

Meanwhile, Biden's campaign was increasingly "smooth sailing".

Harris quickly proved that Biden had chosen the right person.

Less than two months before November 3 Election Day, liberals' biggest fears came true when Supreme Court judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg died of illness on September 18.

This gives conservatives reason to rejoice during a challenging year for the President.

As a series of polls showed Biden ahead of Trump, the President needed a boost to change the race trajectory.

Subsequent polls showed wavering voters with no sympathy for the President's performance.

After weeks of mass rallies and events, ignoring prevention recommendations, Trump and a handful of aides became infected with nCoV in early October.

However, the bigger damage may be in the image of the President.
